Angel Morgan- Forever in our hearts
Morgan(https://www.facebook.com/morgantheheartbaby), was our first special needs pup who was unplanned, however little did we know, adopting him made us realize that we wanted to help many more of these special babies.
I(Jennifer/mom) was perusing Petfinder for another pup to adopt when I came across Morgan. He was less than a few months old and was listed as having a very serious, heart condition. Nobody wanted him because of this, except for a doctor/teacher from a veterinary college who most likely wanted to take him to teaching purposes. I continued to look at other pups but I had been so drawn to Morgan that I couldn't stop going back to his picture. Something kept telling me that he was the one but what held me back from adopting him was my fear of being able to deal with adopting a sick pup only to lose him prematurely. After I realized how selfish this was, I decided that it was not about us at all but about his happiness. He deserved to live a happy, loving life for as long as possible. So, after talking it over with my husband, we decided to adopt this sweet boy and to this day we are so happy that we did.
Morgan taught us that special needs pups are just that...extremely special and loving. It's as if he knew he was special and that we were there for him. The love he gave back was ten-fold. Although we only got two years with this sweet boy, it was equivalent to a lifetime of joy to us.
